Google Nexus 7 (2016) is rumored to make a comeback next year as Google will reportedly release a third generation of the device with the help of Huawei.
Phone Radar spotted a Weibo post from an unnamed tipster saying that Google is already working on the new tablet and Huawei will most likely to take the helm based on what the China-based company delivered through the Nexus 6P.
Even if the rumors proved to be true, the features of the tablet remained unknown. There is no word yet what high end features that the tablet will offer.
While the manufacturer to be in charged is still not set in stone, Google working with Huawei is still unconfirmed. There are wild rumors claiming that Google will rely on one of its trusted partner - ASUS.
In October, ASUS chairman and former CEO Jonney Shih told Trusted Reviews that there is a possibility that the company will work on the third model of the 7-inch Nexus tablet. Shih added that consumers should "stay tuned," increasing the anticipation of consumers.
ASUS was in-charged of making the two generations of Nexus 7 tablets that received praise and recognition from both critics and consumers.
Some Nexus fans are not convinced that Nexus 7 (2016) release is happening soon as Google recently showed off the Nexus 6P and 5X that are smartphones with screens close to the size of Nexus 7.
Meanwhile, the current discounts on HTC Nexus 9, which brought down the price of the tablet to be more affordable for many consumers, hinted that the new generation of the tablet will be released soon.
