Nick and Vanessa Lachey welcomed their second child, a daughter, on Jan. 5, Monday.
The two already have a son named Camden John, who was born in September 2012. The couple has been dating since 2006 and got married in July 2011. Prior to dating Vanessa, Nick Lachey was married to Jessica Simpson, with whom he also had a reality show "Nick and Jessica," which wrapped just prior to their divorce.
Nick and Vanessa have named their daughter as Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey. At birth she weighed just a little over 7 pounds and measured 21 inches. Vanessa was over the moon when she gave birth to her daughter. She wrote on her website that she had been dreaming of holding her daughter since forever and it was the sweetest moment of her life. She also said that a friend had said to her that daughters are a mother's best friend, so holding her own daughter in her arms was a super-sweet and emotional moment for her. She also added that already the whole family is over the heels love in with Brooklyn.
Singer Nick Lachey had a bitter divorce with singer Jessica Simpson and they are not now on talking terms at all. He even went to the extent of saying that he is glad that they didn't have any offsprings at all. After their rocky marriage, both of them moved on quickly and re-married. Jessica Simpson is married to Eric Johnson, with whom she has two children as well - a son and a daughter.
