"Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X" has received its release date for PlayStation Vita. It was announced that the Japanese version of "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X" would be released on March 24, 2016 for PS Vita, and a new trailer has been launched. While, the release date for the PS4 version is still unspecified, "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X" PS4 is expected to come out in autumn 2016.
"Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X" is a Vocaloid based game developed by Sega and Crypton Future Media, and published by Sega and Dwango Music Entertainment. "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X," being a "Rhythm Game," players are allowed to choose songs sung by Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, along with other Vocaloid Songs.
New features of the game include a wide variety of options and controls. Starting from the "Live Quest" mode in which the quest depends on different areas: Cute, Beauty, Cool, Neutral and Chaos. A quest is progressed and eventually passed when met with a right voltage during the gameplay.
The new version of "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X" also features "Module Drop" which rewards a random module by the completion of the quest. Other features like "Rush Notes" aiding in gaining higher scores and "Live and Produce," in which one can produce their own "live" song and change are also seen in the "DIVA X."
The game series has been received pretty well in Japan, with its total reach going over 4 million units. Sega has announced that the franchise has sold over 4.5 Million units in form of downloads and retail.
