The musical tradition of seeing "A Christmas Carol" being brought to life by the South Coast Repertory is back for the holidays as Jerry Patch successfully creates a marvelous adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens novel.
For almost forty years, people from Montgomery, California have witnessed the beautiful stage play of "A Christmas Carol" as performed by the South Coast Repertory.
Likewise, this year's "A Christmas Carol" theater production has John-David Keller setting up the stage design to fit perfectly with the vision of Patch, according to Daily Star Albany.
Dwight Richard Odle prepared the exquisite, gorgeous period costumes while Thomas Buderwitz assembled the monochrome panels to portray life in the 19th century.
The popular stage play of the South Coast Repertory will have Hal London Jr. as Ebenezer Scrooge and Gregg Daniel as Jacob Marley. Similarly, Richard Doyle will be acting as the Spirit of Christmas Past while Timothy Landfield and Austin Springer will be respectively serving as the Spirit of Christmas Present and the Spirit of Christmas Yet-To-Come.
Other members of the "A Christmas Carol" stage play include J.T. Casey as a quiet boy, Alex Knox as a young gentleman, Erika Schindele as the lovely Belle, Daniel Blinkoff as Bob Cratchit and Jack Matthews as Tim Cratchit, who will appear in a relatively dark segment of the story.
Blinkoff has been praised as a remarkable performer as the loud and normally happy Bob while Landon keeps the story going by offering memorable movements and lines as the climax of "A Christmas Carol" eventually unfolds to the audience in a total of 36 shows.
In other news, the world premiere of "Office Hour" will include Sandra Oh from the popular American series "Grey's Anatomy," according to Playbill. The upcoming show will be directed by Neel Keller and will be part of the Pacific Playwrights Festival.
"Office Hour" will run from April 10 to May 1, 2016, at the Julianne Argyros Stage of the South Coast Repertory.
