"The Voice" Season 9 (2015) has reached its semifinals. On Dec. 7 episode, the top 9 contestants from Team Adam, Gwen, Blake and Pharrell, performed to gain entry in the finals. "The Voice" Season 9 (2015) Semifinals sees the performance of top 9 contestants for public votes deciding who makes it to the finals and who gets eliminated. According to TV Line, three out of remaining contestants will automatically be safe and move to the finals. Meanwhile, three will get eliminated, and those end up at the fourth, fifth and sixth place will compete in Instant Save for one final spot in the finale.
"The Voice" Season 9 semifinals kicked off with a performance by Barrett Baber from Team Blake. He sang "Ghost" by Ella Henderson. He is followed by Shelby Brown from Team Adam. She sang "Even Got Must Get the Blues" by Jo Dee Messina. Jeffery Austin from Team Gwen took the stage next. He performed "Believe" by Cher.
The contestants' performances were followed by a performance by music sensation Ellie Goulding. She took the stage to sing her latest single "On My Mind."
Braiden Sunshine from Team Gwen was performing next. She performed a rendition of "Amazing Grace." Performing next was Madi Davis from Team Pharrell. She sang "Big Girls Don't Cry's" version of Four Seasons.
Next up was another special performance. Coach Blake Shelton took the stage to perform his single "Gonna."
Emily Ann Roberts from Team Blake was performing next. She performed "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton. Amy Vachal from Team Adam performed the cover of "To Make You Feel My Love" by Bob Dylan.
The last performance on "The Voice" Season 9 (2015) Semifinals was delivered by Team Adam frontrunner, Jordan Smith. He sang Queen's classic "Somebody to Love."
