Motorola is known for regularly pushing Android updates into its devices. It appears that this practice has not changed as the company recently released Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Pure Edition. The update is available for a handful of network providers in the United States.
Owners of Moto X Pure Edition running on Verizon, Sprint and U.S Cellular networks will be pleased to know that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is already available. Motorola said that it has also started soak tests for Moto X Play in India and Brazil along with the Brazilian version of the Moto X Force, according to Android Police.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the latest flavor of the Android operating system from Google. Marshmallow brings in new features like the Doze Mode, Direct Share, Android Pay and Now on Tap.
Motorola said that, along with the Android 6.0 update, it will remove several of its own software enhancements. The Motorola Migrate and Moto Assist features will be irrelevant as their functions are already integrated into Android Marshmallow.
