Serie A 2015-2016: Chievo vs Atalanta, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

AC Chievo Verona (5-6-4, 19 points) will play Atalanta BC (7-5-3, 24 points) in a 2015-2016 Serie A game at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in Verona on Sunday, December 13 as both teams try to move up from the middle of the current overall standings.

Chievo is now at the 11th spot of the league table, tied on points with Lazio but ahead in goal differential with +4 compared to the latter's -7.

Gialloblu is coming off an impressive 2-0 victory over bottom-three team Frosinone at the Stadio Matusa last Sunday to win their second game in three matches, via SkySports.

It was a scoreless matchup until the 89th minute when Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi converted a penalty kick to give Rolando Maran's men a 1-0 lead.

Midfielder Simone Pepe was then shown a red card for violent conduct and sent off two minutes into injury time to give Chievo a one-man disadvantage. Frosinone failed to capitalize, however, as forward Riccardo Meggiorini added another goal for Mussi Volanti.

Meanwhile, Atalanta won their second straight game with a 3-0 rout of tough team Palermo at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia last Sunday, as per Forza Italian Football.

Team captain German Denis and defender Nicolo Cherubin scored a goal each at the 18th and 25th minutes to give Edy Reja's side a 2-0 lead at the half.

Substitute midfielder Giulio Migliaccio was sent off at the 76th to rattle La Dea, but the team another goal instead, courtesy of a left-footed shot from outside the box from winger Marten de Roon to complete Atalanta's three-goal haul.

The prediction is a tough 1-0 decision for Atalanta. It would be a close fight, but Reja's boys will prevail.
