Channing Tatum, 34, revealed he had to undergo a tough regime for his role wrestler Mark Schultz in the film "Foxcatcher" along with his co-actor Mark Ruffalo.
According to Tatum, he and Ruffalo figured out how much weight they could lose in the gym. He revealed he was not feeling very well after dropping 15 pounds in just one day, XPOSE entertainment reported.
Tatum explained that winning Olympic gold requires training from childhood and a day-in, day-out obsession because there is no jumping in simply depending on being gifted.
In terms of acting, Tatum did not have a formal training but he considers his work on movie sets as his training. For the former stripper, each movie has been a school term and it is an expensive education.'
Apparently, Jenna Dewan-Tatum's husband is not ashamed of his stripper past and does not regret it.
On July 1, the "Magic Mike" sequel titled "Magic Mike XXL" directed by Gregory Jacobs will hit theaters. In the sequel, Tatum plays a male stripper with Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Ronald Glover, Kevin Nash, Stephen Boss, Mike Gassaway, Brandon Michael Hale and Michael Strahan among others.
Putting his stripper past into use, Tatum also co-wrote the "Magic Mike XXL" script with Reid Carolin.
On Jan. 7, it was also confirmed on Facebook that Tatum will play his dream role, the iconic Cajun comic book character Gambit for 20th Fox Century. The film is set to be released on Oct. 7, 2016.
