Security footage has finally confirmed that Jamie Lynn Spears, younger sibling of singer Britney Spears, was indeed holding a knife during a restaurant fight. It happened in a Louisiana eatery last month, when the former Nickelodeon star was seen brandishing a seven-inch bread knife in the CCTV footage.
According to People Magazine, Jamie Lynn and her friend were eating in Hammond at Pita Pit when they were caught in a fight right in the center of the restaurant.
The event occurred just after 2 a.m. and when the restaurant was about to close. A fight broke out in the restaurant among a group of males and Jamie Lynn's friend somehow ended up in the middle of the altercation. The footage shows Jamie Lynn rushing in to help her friend while armed with a large knife.
The owner of the Pita Pit restaurant was in complete shock over the brawl and said he had never seen or come across anything like this before. Thankfully the police arrived in time, and nothing else happened. The owner of the eatery said that they have always focused on serving healthy pitas to the Hammond community and do not welcome such kind of publicity.
Jamie Lynn's side of the story as to why she acted in such an irrational manner is still awaited.
In 2002, Jamie Lynn appeared on "Crossroads" playing the younger Lucy Wagner, the lead character played by her big sister Britney. The film also starred Zoe Saldana, Taryn Manning, Kim Cattrall, Justin Long and Beverly Johnson among others.
