Following Jordan Smith's victory and a series of star-studded performances in "The Voice" season 9 finale, the thrill went on off camera.
After the end of the two-hour live show, the four "The Voice" coaches, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Pharell, and Adam Levine, had a toast in celebration of "The Voice" season 9, according to People. Gathering near their iconic red swivel chairs, the coaches held up their glasses before having a shot, with Pharrell making a remarkable facial expression and Stefani shaking her head.
Season 9 could be the coaches' final season with one another, unless Shelton's wish of having his girlfriend Stefani as a fifth coach next season.
In a press conference, Shelton indicated that season 9 was special because of the "particular combination of coaches." The country singer added that there was something to be said about every combination, but there was something about one that was a standout to him because there was just so much history with the four coaches.
In Shelton's interview with Extra on Dec. 9, he said that he did not want Stefani to not be on the show and suggested Gwen as the show's fifth coach.
In the same interview, Levine added that the "Used To Love You" singer had been a stand-out moment. The "Lost Stars" singer joked that when Stefani walked in the room, they all looked like they had been wearing the same outfit for ten years.
Meanwhile, Stefani also said in the same interview that she would be performing her single "Used To Love You" on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly!" She added that she could not wait for that, as she had not performed on New Year's Eve in a long time. She said it was going to be awesome.
