Asian heartthrob Jay Chou has officially ended his fans' fantasy of becoming his girl after he finally tied the knot with his 21-year-old bride on Jan. 18, Sunday.
On the eve of his 36th birthday, the Taiwanese pop singer exchanged vows with the beautiful Hannah Quinlivan in a fairytale-like wedding in England.
Chou even wrote a song especially for the occasion which was performed by an orchestra at Selby Abbey in Yorkshire.
"Chou seemed a little bit nervous. He was busy and happy. Although it took a long time for the rehearsal, he was very satisfied with the orchestra," said Yang Chun-jung, Chou's agent.
The young bride, who had been in a relationship with Chou for four years before the wedding, walked the aisle wearing a bridal gown from the Taiwanese bridal boutique Sophia Wedding matched with a crown worth more than 6.5 million yuan (almost $1.1 million) and a necklace worth nearly 55 million yuan ($ 8.8 million).
Meanwhile, the groom awaited her at the altar sporting a Tudor-inspired tuxedo, according to the Central News Agency.
The two were wed by a Taiwanese pastor in front of a group about 50 people comprised of the couple's closest friends and relatives.
Quinlivan, now officially Mrs. Chou, was moved to tears while she was exchanging marriage vows and rings to the love of her life.
Though they have a 14-year age gap, Chou believed that they have been meant for each other, noting that his "mental age is about the same as hers and we just get along like children."
After the wedding, the newly wed couple joined their friends and family for dinner at a hotel and a party at Castle Howard.
According to China Entertainment News, the couple would also be organizing post-wedding celebrations in Taipei and Australia to entertain more of their friends and relatives who were not able to attend the actual ceremony.
