After she was crowned as Miss Universe 2015, it was revealed that Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is a big fan of South Korean actor Choi Siwon, who is also a member of the K-pop group Super Junior. Recently, the K-pop star took to Instagram to congratulate the Filipino beauty queen.
"Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach :) Heartfelt Congratulations on your Miss Universe 2015 Award, and please be my guest for next SUPERSHOW!" Choi captioned a photo of himself with his "Dragon Blade" co-actor Adrien Brody, which he posted on Dec.27, Sunday. "Looking forward to seeing you shining the world :^)"
The post immediately received thousands of comments, one of which was from Wurtzbach herself thanking Choi. She also told him the "Dragon Blade" actor and K-pop star that she appreciated his invitation.
The "Super Show" was Super Junior's first live concert tour in Asia. Details on the K-pop band's next concert in 2016 are yet to be announced.
Choi is known both as an actor and as a singer. On Sept. 4, "Dragon Blade" was released in the United States. It starred Choi, Brody, Jackie Chan, John Cusack, Peng Lin, Mika Wang, Yang Xiao, Taili Wang, Tin Chiu Hung, Shaofeng Feng, Sharni Vinson, Lorie Pester and Xiang Dong Xu, among others.
It has yet to be confirmed if "Dragon Blade" has a sequel and if Choi will co-star again with Chan, who is currently filming the Chinese-Indian co-production "Kung Fu Yoga" that recently included Amyra Dastur in its cast, according to The Hindu.
Meanwhile, Wurtzbach was spotted strolling alone with no makeup an no bodyguard along Columbus Circle in New York City on Dec. 25, Friday, TMZ reported.
