The Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship smartphone is under the wraps, but its release seems close at hand as press renders that shows the smartphone in multiple colors and a video of the actual handset have surfaced.
The most recent renders of the Xiaomi Mi 5 suggests the smartphone will be available in numerous color options such as black, white, pink and gold, Times News UK reported. The new photos again indicate that the smartphone will be sporting a metallic build.
The physical Home button that can be seen placed below the display is rumored to feature a fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi is yet to reveal an announcement date for its much awaited flagship smartphone. Also, the handset is yet to receive approval from TENAA certification body.
The leaked video of the Xiaomi Mi 5 shows the smartphone sitting on a wooden dock. It's a short video clip of less than 30 seconds that shows the swift performance of the smartphone.
Rumors have it that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be arriving with a 5.2 inch Quad HD display. It will be fueled by Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.
It will be coming with a rear camera of 16 MP along with dual LED flash. At the front, it will be housing an 8 MP camera. It will arrive in two internal storage sizes and will feature a massive battery of 3,030 mAh.
As far as pricing is concerned, speculations suggest that the starting model will cost 1999 Yuan, around $309 according to current exchange rates, Phone Arena reported. Xiaomi is also expected to release a larger version of MI 5 with the moniker Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus.
