Justin Bieber slammed 5 Seconds of Summer for dissing him on their Rolling Stone cover. In the interview, where the magazine dubbed 5SOS as “hottest band in the world,” guitarist Michael Clifford claimed that Bieber hated the band.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Clifford said that he and Luke Hemmings crashed Bieber's party after the AMAs. He then shared that they did not talk to him, thinking that he "hated" them. Clifford added that Bieber's album was on loop for 2-3 hours during the party.
Bieber immediately took to Twitter to air his side of the story. The singer wondered if Clifford and Hemmings were actually at his party given that his album was not on loop. He added that he did not even know them.
Bieber also told Hemmings that he should not use his name just to get attention, pointing out that they are already on the cover.
"Wish u the best. Don't use my name for headlines. U are already on the cover. U don't need it. Just be honest. Big hugs buds...And now can we call move on. No hate all love. Happy to make it clear. Happy times," he tweeted.
Bieber's tweets, however, were soon deleted.
Clifford replied and said that he had no idea why that statement was in the article. He added that he has been a Belieber from the start. The 5SOS member also called out Rolling Stone on the way the coverstory was written.
"I hate when people include everything in an article EXCEPT the reason we're a band; the fans," he tweeted.
