Nintendo is all set to treat its players with a whole new bunch of updates as "Splatoon" will be having enhancement updates this January.
The hit franchise "Splatoon" has already given numerous updates since its release in May 2015. The Nintendo World Report states that the upgrade on "Splatoon" brings in a new weapon that players can use for open fire. Known as "Rapid Blaster Pro Deco," the weapon seems optimized with higher fire rates for long range shooting and decreased power. Deco, compared to its older versions, uses disruptors as secondary, and the Killer Wail as special.
"Splatoon" received good reviews as the game was based on a new intellectual property. Nintendo has always been keen on creating fresh experiences for its players by creating additional levels, game modes, versatile weapons and more themes with customizations. The upgrades that included "Spatfest" are featured among the favorites. Being a contrasting shooter game, compared to the "Call of Duty" franchise, the inklings were a totally new experience that Nintendo had to offer.
"Splatoon" director Yusuke Amano talked about the upcoming upgrade and expressed that he is looking forward for players to master the "Splatoon" elements. He emphasizes that players need to develop a strategy for themselves with the weapons they have. Well, the downside is that, once the updates are released, Nintendo would halt the download of free content for the game, apart from the tweaks and bug fixes.
Yusuke Amano made it clear and stated that "Considering the content that has been added after release, rather than thinking about it as free or paid add-on content, I really think of it as content that extends the ways in which you can play Splatoon. And this isn't something that we just wanted to keep giving to people for them to consume, so that they keep churning through the content."
