Apple Releases Major Update For Logic Pro X; App Now Supports AirDrop

Apple finally released an update for the Logic Pro X with additional drummers and the much needed MailDrop and AirDop support. This is Logic X's first update since May 2014.

The newest update contains advanced feature like the intelligent beat profile that will help in creating electronic and hip hop music. The update also includes 10 new drummer profiles. Among these new options are Techno, Dubstep, House and Trap, all these new profiles has comes in with a unique sound and performance control.

Added viewing and editing options will enable users to easily navigate through the programs complicated set of notes and will also help in identifying drum sounds. The redesigned Compressor plug-in adds an scalable Retina-ready user interface with seven added models, iLounge reported.

The sound library also received 200 new synth patches and a new editing tool that will help in fine tuning and editing notes.

The Flex Pitch also allows users to perform real time rendering of fades and speed up load times of projects.

Included in the new Logic Pro update is its integration of iCloud's MailDrop and AirDrop services. This update will make it easier for Logic users to share projects using the OS X system.

AirDrop is a service that enables users to share various contents of their Apple devices wirelessly, according to the Apple website.

Logic along with Final Cut is that last of Apple's app with that still uses the Pro branding.

The newest update will be free for users who already own a copy of Logic Pro. For new users, the app is available at the Apple App Store for $199.99.
