'Final Fantasy VII Remake' is an upcoming video game remake, developed and published by Square Enix, of the original 1997 PlayStation role-playing video game.

While fans have been waiting eagerly for the release of "Final Fantasy 7" remake, Square Enix has revealed that the game will take longer to develop because of recreating old and fan-favorite characters.

Fans have been concerned as to whether the cities in the upcoming remake will be similar to those in "Final Fantasy 15." The setting and places of this fifteenth installment are so large that they get lost in their own creation.

According to Games Skinny, in a recent Q&A on the official "Final Fantasy XV" forum, Ishikawa Tomonori said, "I can tell everyone a little about Altissia at this time. Altissia has many and varied locations, such as multiple cafes, ship-bourne marketplaces and parks etc. The city is of a considerable scale, to the extent that even the developers sometimes get lost there!"

The developer company is yet to release crucial information about the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7" remake, but reports point towards a 2018 release. Furthermore, some fans have observed that reboots of classic titles and franchises mostly involve higher-level graphics, better details, and improved game mechanics.

The only way is for "Final Fantasy 7" to return to the episodic route, especially based on how big the vision was when it was conceived by the game creators, according to Games Radar. During the announcement of the project, Square Enix pointed out that each episode of the multi-parts series would provide a unique experience for gamers.

"Final Fantasy 7" remake is one of the most anticipated games, but that does not mean that it will be released any time soon. The developer company understands that it cannot afford to make a mistake because of the pressure from the fanbase.

The company announced that the upcoming remake would have an episodic release, pointing out that important sections of the game will be released at different times. This kind of release should allow Square Enix to manage the timeline for the remake better.

Square Enix has already indicated the need to tweak specific aspects of the gameplay, including such widespread changes that require more time.
