"Fifty Shades Darker" recently tapped Arielle Kebbel to play the role of Gia Matteo.

In the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, Kebbel will play the role of the female architect that Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) will hire to build his home.

Upon seeing her, Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) will not necessarily have good thoughts about Gia, and she will dub her as "Miss provocative and unfortunately good at her job," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kebbel previously starred on "The Vampire Diaries," "Ballers" and UnREAL."

Meanwhile, the cast of "Fifty Shades Darker" is growing slowly because the production for the film is set to begin this month.

Just recently, actress Kim Basinger was tapped to play the role of Mrs. Robinson or the much older woman who introduced a 15-year-old Christian to the world of BDSM.

Additionally, the role of Leila Williams was also given to Australian actress and model Bella Heathcote.

Leila is described as a beautiful young woman who was previously Christian's submissive.

Due to this, Leila and Anastasia will not have a very peaceful relationship. In fact, Leila's return will cause the latter to worry about her relationship with Christian.

As of late, book author E.L. James, director James Foley and executive producers Dana Brunetti have not yet cast an actor to play the role of Jack Hyde.

Jack is described as a good looking man who also happens to be Christian's biggest nemesis.

He will temporarily become Anastasia's boss, and Christian will have an uncomfortable feeling over their relationship.

Meanwhile, according to Movie Pilot, the production for "Fifty Shades Darker" is set to begin on Feb. 15.

Originally, the filming was scheduled for Feb. 1, but it was later on moved to Feb. 8.

The same thing reportedly happened with the filming for "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Back in 2013, the film was supposed to begin filming on Nov. 1, but it was later on moved to a much later date.

The filming for "Fifty Shades of Grey" officially commenced on Dec. 1.

"Fifty Shades Darker" will also be filmed back-to-back with "Fifty Shades Freed."

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017. "Fifty Shades Freed" will be released on Feb. 9, 2018.
