Following the huge December 2016 update that introduced Level 11 Town Hall and the third hero Grand Warden, Supercell has confirmed that the next Clash of Clans big feature will arrive no later than April. The game developer hinted of game-changing improvements for TH10 and the likely introduction of a Dark Elixir troop.

Supercell recently posted on Facebook that "we're working on the next update and we also have cool plans for the next big feature," of the hit mobile game, according to Gotta Be Mobile. The timing provided for the update deployment is around the start of Q2 2016 but the game bumps could arrive as early as March.

Possibly packed with the upcoming CoC feature upgrades is a Dark Elixir troop that is specifically designed for the enjoyment of Clashers in Level 10 Town Hall. As noted by Supercell on its official Facebook page: "We're currently looking at TH10 ... It's next in line as the first TH level that doesn't have its own DE troop.

The move appears to acknowledge that while TH11 has significantly altered the gameplay and landscape of the Clash of Clans, Supercell developers may have overlooked TH10, which presumably is where majority of advanced Clashers presently reside. "This update looks to be geared towards all players, of course, but will focus a bit more on Town Hall 10. It's nearly the highest any player can go in the game," the GBM report said.

While the CoC maker is yet spill the fresh features for TH10, the level is likely to welcome the addition of a Dark Spell Factory that would complement the entry of a new DE troop.

As for the fresh warrior that is the DE troop, GBM said that Clashers are whispering about the soon-to-arrive magician troop thought to be called Ice Mage. Ice Mage is rumored to possess the power to freeze buildings and showcase Goblin-like capabilities such as zeroing in on prized resources like gold and elixir.

Supercell forum discussions have indicated that the new DE troop or Ice Mage was originally intended for Clash Royale, which according to Neurogadget is a Clash of Clans spin off (also from Supercell) that presents most of the gaming elements familiar to CoC fans. But the plan was jettisoned at the last minute.
