'Watch Dogs 2' rumors: Sequel to feature 'Morality' system, San Francisco setting; Launch date set on early 2017!

'Watch Dogs' is an open world action-adventure third-person shooter stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.

New "Watch Dogs 2" details will feature an early 2017 launch date and rumored new gameplay feature and San Francisco setting.

It seems that the rumored "Watch Dogs 2" video game will be in the works this year as Ubisoft confirmed that the the hacking open-world action video game will launch in the early months of 2017. Ubisoft stated that "Watch Dogs 2" will be release the company's next financial year, which is before April 2017.

The decision was made as part of Ubisoft's third quarter financial report as it detailed the its current outlook for the fiscal year and beyond. Ubisoft will be launching a high quality line-up such as "For Honor", "South Park: The Fractured But Whole", "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands and "Watch Dogs 2" Gamespot reported.

Ubisoft's announcement of "Watch Dogs 2" was first speculated when the video game developers announced that there will not be a new "Assassin's Creed" video game this year. Ubisoft creative director Jonathan Morin stated that "Watch Dogs" will turn into a franchise as they will come up with new game features and storylines to make it a successful game franchise.

"Watch Dogs 2's" setting is speculated to be in San Francisco as previous reports claim that other countries such as Tokyo, New York, Silicon Valley etc. are being pitch for the game. Their is a possibility that the sequel will showcase a new protagonist replacing Aiden Pierce, the main character of the first game as gaming fans wanted a more morally conflicted character in a way that is based on reality and logic.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot explained that he does not know if Aiden Pierce will be back in the sequel, while several rumors claim that "Watch Dogs 2" could have three playable characters similar to that of Rockstar games, "Grand Theft Auto 5".

The sequel will also feature a "Morality" system were in gamers are given a choice on how to deal with certain situations whether they are good or bad. The course of "Watch Dogs 2's" story may depend on the choices that the gamer's chose and will have serious implications within the game, Forbes reported.

"Watch Dogs 2" will release sometime in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and possible in the PC platform.
