Pokken Tournament is an arcade fighting game developed by Bandai Namco as it features different Pokemon characters fighting in a "Tekken"style gameplay.

New details for "Pokken Tournament" will feature new Pokemons, game modes, an official file size and a possible Nintendo 3DS version.

Bandai Namco game producers Katsuhiro Harada and Masaaki Hoshino stated during an interview that "Pokken Tournament" for the Nintendo 3DS is something of a "maybe" for them as Hoshino told Gamespot that having the game in the handheld console is something of a "challenge" for them in terms of graphics development, since they are already busy with its development on the Wii U console.

Many gaming fans are curious if both Harada and Hoshino are considering having the game in the Nintendo 3DS, but sadly they will have to wait for further details if the game could be ported into the handheld console. Harada added that it is less about the technology and more of the money as he jokingly stated that programmers need more budget.

Meanwhile, new Pokemons are also introduced in "Pokken Tournament" as support characters like Magneton, Quagsire, Diglett, Cubone, Espeon and Umbreon.

Each of these characters have unique abilities that have an effect on certain playable Pokemons during battles for instance Cubone can use his bone boomerang to attack on long distances, Magneton lowering their opponents speed by using Tri Attack, Quagsire Mud Bomb deals huge damages, Espeon can heal status effects and HP using Morning Sun and Umbreon can prevent opponents from landing critical hits using Snarl.

Practice mode will allow gamers to train their skills with unlimited health and no time constraints, while Free Training will allow them to train on their own terms. Combo Dojo allows gamers to learn different combos and My Town can customize their Pokemon's appearance using its in-game currency.
