Xbox Live subscribers are facing issues with core services.

The social and gaming features of Xbox Live have been down for three consecutive days till Wednesday, as Xbox One and Xbox 360 users in North America and the UK have reported that they are having problems with the core services.

Even Microsoft has accepted that the core services of Xbox Live are down. As a result, Xbox One and Xbox 360 users are having problems while trying to sign in, an Xbox Support official message said. According to Microsoft, the problem areas that are affecting Xbox Live core services include in-game matchmaking, finding friend, cloud storage, leaderboards, Game DVR, avatar editing, and/ or pictures.

Although the problems first started on Sunday, the precise reason or reasons that are responsible for stopping gamers getting access to Xbox Live services are still not clear, The Express reported. In fact, the Xbox Live support page pointed out that the services are still having social and gaming problems related to Xbox One Backward Compatibility.

While the Redmond-headquartered tech giant has only mentioned the above problems, the issue seems to be more extensive. Several subscribers have complained on various social media that Xbox Live has had enough downtime right from the beginning of 2016. The current problem is not something new, they complained. In fact, users of Sony's PlayStation Network have endured even more downtime during the same time period.

Knowing well that the problem has frustrated the subscribers in North America and the UK, Microsoft has assured that they are aware of this issue, and are working to address it right away! The company said that it also appreciates the users' patience and will keep them posted as soon as they fix the issue or have any further detail relating to the issue.

Incidentally, the Xbox Xbox Twitter support team claimed that they have fixed the problem and fans would resume playing online, the outrages were back soon. "The earlier issues should now be resolved," the Microsoft message reads, adding, "We hope you're able to enjoy the rest of your day with us!"

Nevertheless, users reported on Wednesday reported that they were still facing issues while using Party Chat and viewing Friends List. Some other users have complained that they still not able to access some of the core Xbox Live services.
