The Los Angeles Lakers reportedly had a discussion with the Orlando Magic, inquiring on the availability of combo guard Victor Oladipo, Morning News USA reports (Via Yibada).

In an attempt to land a nice young player before the trade window closes at 3 p.m, the Lakers offered reigning Sixth Man of the Year Louis Williams and incoming free-agent Jordan Clarkson to the Magic for Oladipo, who is averaging 14.3 points, 4.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds this season.

According to MN USA, the Lakers covet Oladipo a lot because of his immense upside and two-way potential. Moreover, Clarkson's impending free-agency is another reason why the Lakers explored the idea of trading him before he hits the market this summer.

"According to one source close to the Lakers, the team could be willing to give up Clarkson to acquire Oladipo since they both play at the same position. While Oladipo is capable of playing at the 3, Magic coach Scott Skiles has preferred to use the former No. 2 draft pick in the backcourt."

Lakers receive several offers for Lou Williams:

It's not really a surprise to learn that the Lakers are receiving trade offers for Williams. The combo guard is averaging 15.4 points per game and shooting 40 percent from the field this season for the Lakers. Other than his production, Williams' reasonable contract (three-year, $21 million deal) makes him an ideal trade target for teams looking to add firepower off the bench.

Roy Hibbert staying put after deadline ESPN's Ramona Shelbourne reported that the Lakers are reaching out to several teams if they are interested in Roy Hibbert. If they are unsuccessful in unloading Hibbert, the Lakers will not buy out the big man and plan to keep him for the remainder of the season.
