Jeremy Calvert and Brooke Wehr appear to be going strong as they prepare for their couple’s debut on “Teen Mom 2” season seven.
On Feb. 20, Saturday, Calvert, who had previously been quite mum on his relationship with Wehr, sent out a message to his girlfriend on Twitter, letting her know he missed her, and encouraging her to get well soon.
Although Calvert and Wehr began dating last spring, following Calvert's separation from former wife Leah Messer, who also appears on "Teen Mom 2," their relationship wasn't seen at all on the show. Instead, Calvert spoke just once of a new girl in a scene with a friend, which was later deleted from the sixth season.
As fans saw on the show throughout season six, Messer endured a number of parenting struggles, and was reportedly overcome by issues of anxiety and depression, which ultimately led her to seek treatment in May 2015. At the same time however, both Calvert and Messer’s first husband, Corey Simms, spoke of a potential drug problem, which she denied.
While Messer hoped to get back with Calvert after her rehabilitation was complete, their divorce was ultimately finalized in June of last year, weeks before she arrived back home to West Virginia, and his relationship with Wehr continued.
That July, after production wrapped on “Teen Mom 2” season six, Calvert and Wehr took their romance on the road, traveling to Los Angeles, where they enjoyed a double date with Simms and his wife, Miranda, who were in town filming the reunion special, The Ashley's Reality Roundup reported. During the date, Simms took it upon himself to post a photo of the foursome having dinner, and on Twitter, he faced immediate backlash from fans, who felt he was being insensitive to his former wife, Messer.
At the end of the year, after a months-long romance, Calvert and Wehr temporarily called it quits, but they are now back on and taking things slow for the sake of his daughter with Messer, 3-year-old Adalynn, and her daughter from a previous relationship, according to the same publication.
