Last season's runners-up AS Roma (13-4-8, 47 points) will try to extend a four-game winning streak in a match against reeling team US Citta di Palermo (7-13-5, 26 points) at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Sunday, Feb. 21st as the Serie A 2015-2016 season moves forward.

Roma is currently at the fifth spot of the league table, one point behind fourth-running Inter Milan and 11 points clear off league leading and defending champions Juventus, after stringing four consecutive victories over Frosinone, Sassuolo, Sampdoria, and Carpi since the end of January.

New manager Luciano Spalletti continues his good return in the bench as he remained undefeated in four outings since a draw with Verona and loss versus Juventus in his first two games back as La Maggica head coach on Jan 13th.

I Giallorossi overpowered bottom-three squad Carpi during their most recent game, 3-1, at the latter's Stadio Alberto Braglia in Modena on Feb. 12th, as reported by Goal.

Bosnian striker Edin Džeko ended his goal drought six minutes before full time to score the second one for Roma in the match. Defender Lucas Digne opened the scoring at the 56th minute while forward Mohamed Salah sealed the game one minute after Džeko's goal to compete Roma's three-goal haul.

Carpi forward Kevin Lasagna scored an equalizer and consolation for the hosts at the 61st.

Meanwhile, Palermo suffered a 1-3 defeat in the hands of Roma's neighbors, Torino FC, at their home field of Stadio Renzo Barbera last Sunday, as per SkySports.

I Rosanero striker Alberto Gilardino scored right at the second minute of the match to give the early lead to Palermo, but il Toro scored three goals the rest of the game, courtesy of a double from forward Ciro Immobile at the 19th and 69th and an own goal from Palermo defender Giancarlo Gonzalez at the 31st.

It was Palermo's fifth winless try in six outings, which relegated them to the 15th spot of the league table, only four points away from the bottom-three group.

The predicted result is a 3-0 romp for Roma.
