K-pop singer Taemin, a member of the popular boy band SHINee, has released his latest solo single.  He has teamed up with Grammy Award-winning artist Bruno Mars to pen the single "Press Your Number."

The collaboration comes at a time when the pairing of K-pop groups with artists in the United States is growing. Recently, Korean star PSY came together with rapper Snoop Dogg for his song "Hang Over."

Accompanying  the release of Taemin's single is the video which features the Korean star. He is seen singing to some electro-soul sounds typical of Mars' style and well suited to Taemin's vocal range, Fuse reported.

The video is produced by the team at The Stereotypes. The group have worked on songs such as "Somebody To Love" by Justin Bieber to "Damaged" by Danity Kane. The video for "Press My Number" features the storyline of an affair that ends in violence.

The video shows Taemin robbing a gas station. The clip progresses to show him being kidnapped and  thrown into the trunk of a car filled with blue roses.

"Press My Number" is the lead single from Taemin's first solo album titled "Press It." The album marks the first time a member of a K-pop group has released a full-length video with super label SM Entertainment, the website reported.

Meanwhile, Mars is said to be working out the finer details of his third studio album. According to the singer's engineer Charles Moniz who spoke to Billboard, the album will be released shortly.

While Moniz was silent on when Mars' album will be released, he said: "I think we are very close (to finishing)." He added that fans can expect a new and different sound, saying  the album would be the next  "movement of Bruno."

"It's about everyone coming together and having a good time," Moniz said about the amosphere in the Mars' studio. "That's the thing: When the vibe's right and everyone's having fun, that's when the best music comes out," he added.

Mars' last album "Unorthodox Jukebox" was released in December 2012.The Hawaiian-born singer recently won a Record of the Year Grammy Award for "Uptown Funk" with Mark Ronson.
