Which is the best option between these three flagship models - OnePlus 2, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Nexus 6P

OnePlus had previously asserted that its flagship phone would end up being a "2016 Flagship Killer," and now that it is already time, let us compare its display, powerhouse and camera system with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Nexus 6P.

According to Android Central, compared to the Galaxy S7 Edge, the OnePlus 2 is almost similar in size although the two have divergent hardware designs. Both sport 5.5-inch screens and the only feature that comes in between them is the fact that the Galaxy S7 Edge has smooth rounded curves while OnePlus has sharper lines. The Nexus is, however, bigger than the two devices with a 5.7-inch display and barely tapered edges.

Going further into the display of the devices, the OnePlus 2 comes with a 1920 × 1080 IPS LCD with gorilla glass three display while the S7 Edge features a 2560 × 1440 Super AMOLED Dual Edge screen with gorilla glass 4. The Nexus 6P, in turn, sports a 1440 × 2560 pixels AMOLED display with a 518-pixel density. Clearly, the OnePlus loses by a significant margin if we consider this feature.

Concerning the smartphones' powerhouses, OnePlus 2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 with a RAM of either 3 or 4 GTB and internal storage of either 16 or 64 GB depending on the model. The S7 Edge, on the other hand, is driven by a Quad-core Snapdragon 820/ Octa-core Samsung Exynos with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In line, the Nexus includes an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with 3GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, GSM Arena reported.

It is also worth mentioning that among the three Smartphones, only the Samsung Galaxy Edge comes with an expandable memory card slot. The expandable memory feature can support memory cards of up to 200GB.

As per the camera system, the OnePlus 2 sports a 13MP primary camera with auxiliary attributes like laser autofocus, a dual LED flash and IOS. It also comes with a 5MP selfie camera. As for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, the primary camera is 12MP and comes along with qualities like phase detection, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, auto HDR and IOS. The phone also has a 5MP front camera.

Lastly, the Nexus 6P has a 12.3MP primary camera with Dual LED flash, face detection, geotagging and touch-to-focus.  The phone as well comes with an 8MP front-facing camera.

According to the specs, the One Plus 2 may have won with its primary camera but as for the other features, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and the Nexus 6P have given a stiff competition. However, OnePlus fans have something to look up to considering the soon-to-be-launched OnePlus 3.
