"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 is reportedly no longer in danger of being cancelled.
Just recently, the series was moved from its usual Thursday schedule to a Friday to accommodate The CW's new show "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
At that time, fans immediately wondered whether or not the show will be axed after season 7 because that's what usually happens to shows transferred to a Friday timeslot.
However, just recently, "The Vampire Diaries" aired an episode that showed Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) talking to Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola-King) on the phone.
As such, the touching conversation between the two helped boost the ratings for "Moonlight on the Bayou."
Additionally, last Friday's episode also saw Stefan (Paul Wesley) heading to New Orleans.
While there, he had the chance to talk to Klaus, and the latter gave him some valuable advice on how he should handle his relationship with Caroline.
Meanwhile, according to TV By the Numbers, "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 14 received a 0.5 rating and a total of 1.17 million viewers.
Unfortunately, even if these numbers already increased, "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 was still the lowest-rated show at the 8 p.m. timeslot last week.
Its rival shows such as "Last Man Standing" received a 1.1 rating with 6.86 million viewers.
CBS' "The Amazing Race" received a total of 5.78 million viewers, while "Sleepy Hollow" received a total of 2.99 million viewers.
"Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" received a 0.7 rating with 3.55 million viewers.
According to the publication, "'The Vampire Diaries' rose a tenth from last week.
In other news, "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 15 will see Stefan and Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) pursuing an herb that can help hide them from Rayna (Leslie-Anne Huff).
Stefan will also question his future with Caroline, and Matt (Zach Roerig) will make a difficult decision that could risk his life.
Bonnie (Kat Graham) will find out about Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) plans, and will attempt to stop her from tracking down the vampire huntress.
In a recent article she penned for Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Julie Plec said that Bonnie and Damon's friendship will be put to the test in the upcoming episodes.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 15 will air on The CW on Mar. 4.
