'Wolverine 3' spoilers: Liev Schreiber tease Sabretooth's return, 'Old Man Logan' storyline; Sequel to receive rated R treatment?

Wolverine 3 will serve as the last X-Men spin-off starring Hugh Jackaman and Patrick Stewart and directed by James Mangold

The latest details on "Wolverine 3" will feature Sabretooth's return, confirmation regarding the "Old Man Logan" plot and a rated R treatment for the film.

"Spotlight" star Liev Schreiber stated in interview during 88th Academey Awards that he express his interest in returning his character Victor Creed/Sabretooth for "Wolverine 3" as the X-Men villain has been the subject of numerous speculations and rumors. Schreiber in a seperate interview also teased that the third "Wolverine" spin-off could be based on the "Old Man Logan" storyline as he comic book plot called his attention, MTV News reported.

Hugh Jackman has been adamant about having Schreiber return as Sabretooth in "Wolverine 3" even goading him to go the gym for the role. Sabretooth in the "X-Men" film franchise will is portrayed as Logan's older half-brother and has fought several times in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" until he left and disappeared after their fight with Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds).

With "Old Man Logan" being the main plot of the film, audiences may feature an old an seasoned Wolverine fight Sabretooth one last time, along with possible X-Men related characters that are included in the film.

While promoting "Eddy the Eagle" Jackman stated that the script for "Wolverine 3" is "super close" to being finished and currently has the incomplete copy of it, even joking that his facial hair is growing to that of his character Logan/Wolverine. It will not be long that "Wolverine 3" will likely begin production sometime this weeks.

In other news, their are several reports that "Wolverine 3" will likely get a rated R treatment due to the success of "Deadpool" in cinemas.

Fox is planning on making more "X-Men" spin offs and decides to brand it with R rating such as "Wolverine 3" and the rumored "X-Force" spin-off.

However, it was not the "Deadpool's" success that led to the decision of having "Wolverine 3" be a rated R film, but the very violent and brutal sequences that were incorporated by screenwriter Michael Green within the script, which is not appropriate for children who have seen and hear of Wolverine, Slash Film reported.

Jackman's portrayal of the the iconic X-Men character could be his last as he also rumored to appear Bryan Singer's other X-Men film, "X-Men: Apocalypse". 

"Wolverine 3" will be release in cinemas on March 3, 2017.
