Star Wars Battlefront is an upcoming action video game based on the Star Wars franchise developed by DICE and distributed by EA Games.

New "Star Wars Battlefront" details will feature a possible single-player campaign, two new characters added and latest patch update features two new maps and co-op game modes.

Electronic Arts and DICE launched that new patch update for "Star Wars Battlefront" this week and gamers can now download the latest patch for free in their PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. The new patch update will contain two new maps like the "Rebel Depot" in Tattooine and the "Survivors of Endor", VG 24/7 reported.

Each of the two maps will play host to a number of game modes such as Survival mode for the Rebel Depot, while the Survivors of Endor map will feature "Walker Assault", "Supremacy" and "Turning Point" game modes.

In other news, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star John Boyega stated that he wants "Star Wars Battlefront" to have a single-player campaign mode as he tweeted to the official Twitter Page of game asking if the gaming fans could get an offline campaign treatment from the game.

Boyega has been fan of the "Star Wars Battlefront" games for years stated that having an offline campaign could really make the gamers enjoy it, since the latest sequel is primarily online. EA responded to Boyega's request with the very feature already played out, Polygon reported. However, Boyega answered by stating that the game needs more narrative storyline and request to visit their facility in the United Kingdom.

"Star Wars Battlefront" will also feature two new playable characters from "Star Wars" franchise. While these characters are not very familiar to anyone, die-hard "Star Wars" fans will recognize Nien Nub and Greedo.

Nien Nub in the "Star Wars" mythos is a rebel starfighter in past films and has served as Lando Calrissian in the Millenium Falcon during "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi". Greedo on the other hand, was first seen in the "A New Hope" when he tried to put Han Solo down only to get killed inthe catina scene in Tatooine.

Several fans wanted to see more iconic "Star Wars" characters as possible playable characters in "Star Wars Battlefront" such as Obi-wan Kenobi, Yoda, Chewbacca, Starkiller and many more.

EA will launch the first DLC expansion this month as it features the "Outer Rim" with new weapons, characters and free updates. "Star Wars Battlefront" will also have other DLC expansions such as Bespin map in the summer and the Death Star in the fall.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is currently available in stores for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the PC.
