Chumlee arrest controversy: ‘Pawn Stars’ celeb cancelled his DJ gig at Las Vegas after coming out on bail

Chumlee of "Pawn Stars" was released on bail. The 33-year-old actor Austin Lee Russell was released after posting a $62,000 bail, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. Meanwhile, after getting the bail, Chumlee turned down a DJ gig in Las Vegas.

According to TMZ, Chumlee cancelled the DJ set he was scheduled to perform at Tru Nightclub in Las Vegas on Friday. The "Pawn Stars" actor was released from jail on Thursday and his lawyer told the website that he proactively called off the set.

Meanwhile, Chumlee's lawyer revealed that he will appeal the felony weapon and drug charges, also if sex assault allegations are filed, he will fight against it (via USA Today).

On Wednesday, Chumlee was arrested after officers raided his southwest Las Vegas home in a sexual assault investigation. The officers found marijuana, methamphetamine and a gun. Russell was booked on 19 drug-possession charges plus one weapon charge.

According to the official website of Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, Chumlee is described as a philosopher, artist, comic and brother.

"Chum - the comic, the philosopher, the artist, the brother, the man. Chumlee is the best definition of an accidental celebrity to ever come across the media. Afterall, what is it he is famous for? He loves his sneakers, his caps, his designer duds, his family and his friends and maybe a little music, too," reads the description of Chumlee.

"He is a great shot in basketball, an amazing big brother, a generous beyond what is good for him friend, and a champ in so many ways. Funny without meaning to be and sometimes while meaning to be, he is a breakout star and fan favorite. Chum will never lie to anyone, he is truthful to a fault but he thinks long and hard about any answer, opinion, or bit of wisdom he is about to lay on you."

At the time of arrest, Rick Harrison of the "Pawn Stars" told FOX411 that they don't have the details about Chumlee yet, but they are there to help him any way they can.
