"Blood and Wine" DLC is expected to bring new armors, new characters, new weapons, fresh plot and a new location.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's" "Blood and Wine" DLC news is now shaking up the Internet, as a lot of rumors pertaining to its release date and plot details are now emerging.

It is said that the much awaited "Blood and Wine" DLC is expected to bring new armors, new characters, new weapons, fresh plot and a new location. In fact, to make the game more interesting, "Blood and Wine's" fresh content will also offer gamers a new "less depressing" soundtrack.

During a Feb. 23 interview with Game Pressure, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's" music composer Marcin Przybyłowicz hinted that the new expansion will receive a fresh music that is dubbed as "less drepressing" compared to "The Witcher 3's" OST titled "Velen." Przybyłowicz also hinted that he'll be working with other music geniuses Mikolai Stroinski and Piotrek Musial to produce "Blood and Wine's" OST.

Meanwhile, according to Gry Online.pl, "The Witcher 3's" new "Blood and Wine" expansion is said to be released on April 26, which is earlier than the June 2016 release predictions on previous reports; however, "Blood and Wine's" developer CD Projekt RED has yet to confirm the said rumored release date. The April 26 unveiling is said to likely happen since it falls on a Tuesday, which the previous expansion "Heart of Stones" fell on a Tuesday as well.

In addition, CD Projekt RED's tradition in releasing updates is within the same timeframe mentioned above; however, if the expansion will not be unveiled exactly on April 26, gamers can expect that it should be release within April 2016 - June 2016 window.

Once "Blood and Wine" is out, gamers can expect an estimated 20 hours of gameplay set in a new realm called Touissant, which is one of the few countries in Witcher Universe that remains untouched by the War. Although Touissant appears to be peaceful, it still hides bloody and dark secrets that gamers need to explore and uncover.

On other news, CD Projekt RED's financial report (PDF) indicates that the company is working on a new format of video game unexplored by the studio, "Cyberpunk 2077" release and a new AAA project that will be released within 2017-2021.

The Polish video game developer and publisher did not further elaborate the details about the "new format of game unexplored," but it may mean that this is some kind of an indie-style project or an episodic project for mobile platforms. According to VG247, since the term "format" was used rather than using "genre," it is safe to assume that CD Projekt RED will take a different direction beyond PC or console release.
