"Awkward" season 5 will reveal new information about Matty and Jenna's relationship.
Now that they are in college, both characters have matured tremendously.
However, over the summer break, they decided to spend time together. Things may change drastically when Jenna realizes that there's more to life than just dating Matty.
In "I'm the Kind of Girl Who Found Her Voice In College," Jenna will be in college, and she will decide to return to Palos Hills to be with her high school friends.
When she finally reunited with her best friend Tamara, the latter asked what happened to her and Matty throughout the summer.
The teaser confirmed that Jenna will reveal their whereabouts in the upcoming episode.
However, knowing the two characters' past, it seems that Jenna and Matty didn't always have the best time of their lives.
Meanwhile, the teaser also showed Jenna sitting in the car with an unknown female character.
Out of nowhere, the woman decided to lean on and kiss her. However, Jenna immediately pulled away and the woman said that she totally misread the vibe.
As of late, it is unclear why another woman kissed Jenna. It is also unclear whether or not this kiss had something to do with Jenna and Matty's fall out yet again.
In other news, the clip also showed Tamara and Jenna teasing each other.
"Your boobs got bigger," Tamara told Jenna after the latter flashed her breasts thinking she was talking to Matty.
"I need to stop worrying about my old friends, and look to my future," she said.
The next scene showed Matty telling Jenna, "This isn't high school."
It was also revealed that Tamara will become much closer with Sadie while Jenna is away in college.
"Everyone's changed," Jenna said.
In other news, Sadie and Sergio will plan on hooking up with each other. However, the teaser revealed that the latter will get it on with someone other than Sadie.
"Awkward" season 5 will premiere on MTV on March 15.
