"The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev is reportedly trying her best to stay away from his ex-boyfriends Ian Somerhalder and Austin Stowell.
Dobrev and Somerhalder split a few years ago due to some personal reasons. Just a few months later, the latter already started dating Nikki Reed. In less than a year, the actor and Reed tied the knot.
The actress, on the other hand, started dating Stowell eight months ago. However, they recently decided to call it quits.
According to Movie News Guide, all three personalities were recently invited to John Oscars post-party fundraising event. However, Dobrev decided she wouldn't go because she knew that Somerhalder and Stowell will both be there.
Meanwhile, "The Vampire Diaries" was recently renewed for another season, and there are some rumors that Dobrev was not happy with the reports.
In fact, some fans also believe that it would be impossible for Dobrev to return to the show despite executive producer Julie Plec's statement that it's possible.
Plec penned an article for Entertainment Weekly where she said that there's a huge possibility for Elena and Damon to reunite on the show.
"All I can say is that Damon is committed to being at Elena's side when she wakes up in however many years it takes, and he's going to do everything he can to make sure he still believes he's worthy of her. He will hit a lot of bumps in the road coming up in the next few episodes and will have to make some drastic decisions. Don't forget, when we started this season, he was lying desiccated in a coffin next to hers," Plec wrote.
In other news, Plec said during a separate interview with the same publication that "The Vampire Diaries" is ultimately about Damon and his brother Stefan (Paul Wesley).
This means that if Dobrev decides to not return to the show for the finale episode, it wouldn't be such a great loss for "The Vampire Diaries" altogether.
Still, some fans are looking forward to the reunion of the estranged onscreen couple.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will return to The CW on Apr. 1.
