Google Nexus 7 2016 release date is reportedly coming soon as Nexus 6P discounts are still available online.
With whispers saying that the Nexus 2016 release date is near, consumers can get their hands on the current Nexus 6P smartphone from Best Buy, which slashes $50 off the original price. The 32GB variant costs $449.99. B&H Photo Video also offers the handset for the same price, but it saves consumers $75 since the selling price of the device is slightly higher compared to other retailers.
A price cut is an indication that a new generation of device is coming to replace the current line. This could also mean that the retailers are exhausting their inventory of the device to make way for the new one.
According to reports, the new generation of Google Nexus smartphone will be launched as soon as May at Google's I/O Conference, which has been the launching platform of the device for years. If not, the handset is rumored to be released in October like the current Nexus 6P.
Meanwhile, some of the Google Nexus 2016 features are 7-inch screen display with qHD pixel resolution and Android N operating system. It will be powered by Huawei's homegrown processor Kirin 950 chipset or NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
In addition to the rumors, Google Nexus 7 2016 will be made by Taiwanese company HTC. New rumors are saying that HTC will make two Nexus smartphones this year. If rumors proved to be true, people may get some clues on the upcoming HTC 10. BGR reported that HTC 10 will include support to the new HTC Vive VR headset, which could help the company recover from the slump it is experiencing. However, being a Google product, the device will most likely pack its own VR device.
Meanwhile, there is still no official announcement from Google about the official release date and features of the rumored Google Nexus 2016.
