Android Marshmallow update is rolling out to Sony Xperia Z series soon

Speculations are rife that the Android Marshmallow update may be rolled out to the Sony Xperia Z series soon.

It is rumored that the Android Marshmallow has been tested for various Sony Xperia Z series devices, and the latest smartphones will kickstart the rollout process. Sony Xperia Z4 will also get the Android Marshmallow update very soon.

Sony users are used to delayed operating system updates, as this is not the first time that the Sony devices have not been updated quickly to the latest version of the OS. Sony has the worst reputation when it comes to releasing the operating system updates on time, compared to its other competitors.

The latest operating system from Google, Android Marshmallow, brings a lot of unique and user-friendly features to the device. The look and feel of the phone remain the same, and yet feels a bit different, according to BGR.

The users will notice tiny changes to the animations of certain icons. Like the settings icon for example, which is situated on the top right corner of the drop down tray. If the users press it for a few seconds, it starts rotating. Also, the Easter egg is different now, as instead of the flappy bird counterpart (the green Android) trying to save itself from the huge lollipops, it now dodges huge marshmallows.

One of the many changes which Android Marshmallow brings, is the improvement in copy paste feature. Even though it is a relatively simple task, the previous versions of Android made cutting and pasting a very clumsy and frustrating affair. Android Marshmallow lets the users hover just above the selected text, and copy it. It may seem like a small change, but it is very useful for all those users who indulge in intensive copy-paste tasks.

Android Marshmallow also allows the users to store their passwords in Google's browser Chrome, so that they are ready to go in real-time situations. This makes the whole browsing experience much more seamless and quick, according to GSM Arena.
