Journalists revealed that the 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport can drive over rivers, snow and ice in Iceland, according to C Net.

The vehicle was tested by journalists on the roads of Iceland and reports say that they were tucked safely inside the vehicle despite the cold and difficult drive. The rocky roads, rugged terrains and icy river banks were conquered by the new Land Rover.

Although the Discovery Sport passed difficult areas, the tires did not produce bothering sounds.  Even when the vehicle exerted effort in passing glaciers, the sound of the tires was minimal, Autoblog reported.

The Discovery Sport is a 5+2-seater vehicle with front seats that can be eclectically adjusted and  has leather upholstery. It has several features such as "panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control system, xenon headlights, six USB sockets and four 12V power sockets."

There is also a touchscreen infotainment feature that can be integrated with the apps from the user's smartphone. It has better graphics than the previous models and sports controls that are similar to a tablet. It can connect to a Wi-Fi and an also guide the driver back home if he gets lost in the trail.

The new vehicle runs a "2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque." Drivers can adjust the traction control settings in locations such as snowy hills or muddy places through the "nine speed automatic transmission and multi-node Haldex all-wheel drive system with Terrain response."

As for its physical looks, the Range Rover looks similar with the "good looking" Land Rover. The similarities extend inside the Discovery Sport since it also has a comfortable vibe. The glass roof can be used if passengers would like to have a natural vibe from the environment.

The 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport comes with the price of $37, 995 but if drivers would like to have the HSE Luxury similar to the one tested by the journalists, the price increases to $46, 495.
