'The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine' updates: Vampires, new map, new enemies, new gears; April 26 release date not true

Earlier reports suggested that 'The Witcher 3' Blood And Wine DLC expansion may release on April 26. However, development team at the CD Projekt RED has not confirmed this information.

When a fan asked CD Projekt Red's community lead Marcin Momot about any news on when they will be able to visit Toussaint, Momot said that he cannot share anything yet.

According to a GameSpot report, the forthcoming DLC will have a total of 20 hours of gameplay and will be better than the last one.

The forthcoming 'Blood and Wine' will have a good looking landscape based on the region of Toussaint that is going to be comparable in size to Velen and Novigrad.

CD Projekt RED has not disclosed much information on the forthcoming DLC. But several reports suggest that the upcoming 'Blood and Wine' will have new enemies, new gears, a total of 20 hours of gameplay and  new map.

Rumors are also doing the rounds that the forthcoming DLC will introduce new monsters such as Stringas, Manticores and Bruxas and will include some of the missing characters in 'The Witcher 3.' Reports also suggest that Vilgefortz (Evil Sorcerer) and Anna Henrietta (Duchess of Toussaint) will come back to the game.

The upcoming Blood and Wine DLC will be available for all platforms. At present, The Witcher 3 is available for Microsoft Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.

According to a report from iDigitalTimes, the upcoming DLC will end the storyline of Geralt of Rivia, the main protagonist.

CD Projekt Red said that with Blood and Wine will try to close for a while, the universe of The Witcher. It will be the last adventure of Geralt of Rivia as a main character.

Also, there are speculations that the upcoming DLC will be about vampires. Having the word 'blood' in the expansion's title could be a clue.

In the trailer 'A Night to Remember,' the protagonist fights a creature that is a bruxa or an alp, both of which are kinds of vampires.

Furthermore, gamers who have read the Witcher books are hopeful that the expansion is about vampires, as they know of one beloved character that is also a high vampire.
