Android Marshmallow update is now releasing for the LG G2 users on the Verizon network.

Rumors abound that T-Mobile, US Cellular, AT&T and Sprint are not planning to release the Android Marshmallow update for LG G3. Till date, only one network carrier - Verizon - has released the update for LG G3.

Network carriers such as T-Mobile, US Cellular, AT&T and Sprint have not released any official schedule as to when LG G3 users can expect the Android Marshmallow update in their devices. This leads to the speculation that they deem the device to be old and unworthy of the latest operating system update.

According to the Sprint support website, various LG G3 units of build numbers LS990ZVC, LS990ZVB, LS990ZVA, LS990ZV8, LS990ZV6 and LS990ZV4 are currently running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The site also mentions that the users may get the latest operating system and they ought to check for updates in their devices.

LG G3 is enlisted as a device to get the Android Marshmallow update, according to the T-Mobile support website. It is currently shown to be in the testing phase on the website, but the release schedule is still unclear.

On the other hand, other network carriers such as US Cellular and AT&T have made no comments whether they plan to release the update or not, and if yes, then when. AT&T devices are running on the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop version whereas the US Cellular devices are currently on the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.

Android Marshmallow is designed to give users the full control over the applications. With this operating system, the users will be able to control their Android device is an administrative manner.

One of the superior features which Android Marshmallow offers is the Application Permit. It will give users different permissions for each application. For example, if the user wants to hide the location information on Facebook, permissions can be removed easily. Users will need to simply remove the check mark on the list of permissions for the Facebook application.
