"Pokemon Go" beta version has already been released in Japan.

While several fans are still waiting for the release date of the upcoming "Pokémon Go," recent reports are now spreading that the game will only feature the original 151 Pokémon from the original generation. The beta version of "Pokémon Go" has been released in Japan already, and selected gamers, who were luckily enough to participate in the test, revealed some juicy details about the game.

Aside from having only the original 151 Pokémon, some good guys on Reddit divulged that "Pokémon Go" will include badges and microtransactions for PokéBalls, Techno Buffalo shared. Additionally, gamers will be experiencing more adventures as "Pokemon Go" includes a day and night cycle feature.

As for the game, "Pokémon Go" will require players to travel and go to various places to find Pokémons and buy Pokéballs. For starters, gamers can use these Pokéballs to capture Pokémons they will encounter in the field.  Also, it should be noted that some Pokémons will only be available to their natural habitat.

Other than that, GamenGuide claimed that a new Nintendo device will be sold separately to the "Pokémon Go" players after its release. The device, which will be called Pokémon Go Plus, is said to allow "Pokémon Go" players to enjoy the game all day long, without even touching their own smartphones.

"The device connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and notifies the player about events in the game-such as the appearance of a Pokémon nearby-using an LED and vibration," the Pokémon Company stated on its website. "In addition, players can catch Pokémon or perform other simple actions by pressing the button on the device."

Meanwhile, Niantic and The Pokémon Company have been keeping details under wraps for quite some time now. In fact, no official release date has been announced up to this writing. However, now that the "Pokémon Go" beta version was already launched in Japan and some other regions, reports are claiming that the wait for the upcoming game will soon be over.

What is certain for now is that the "Pokémon Go" will soon be available for free download on Google Play and App Store. In-app purchases are also said to be available.
