MacBook Pro 2016: 5 Confirmed Feature Upgrades for June 2016 Release Date

According to recent reports, the 2016 MacBook Pro will be launched in June this year. It is expected that the tech giant Apple will release three new MacBook models in 2016 - 15-inch, 13-inch and 12-inch. Also, MacBook Air 2016 is expected to be released this year.

Given below are some of the confirmed features of the MacBook Pro 2016.

Skylake Processors

Brands such as Microsoft , HP and Dell, have already released notebooks that are powered by Skylake processors. According to a Digital Trends report, MacBook Pro 2016 will also be powered by Intel Skylake processor.

Ports

Several reports claim that the 2016 MacBook Pro will feature an additional adapter or more USB-C Type ports so that owners can add multiple devices. In addition, the upcoming laptop will feature Thunderbolt 3.  Thunderbolt 3 produces data transfer speeds of 40 GB/s, Apple Insider reported.

Siri

At present, Siri, Apple's voice-assistant app, is unavailable on MacBook models. However, it is expected that Siri will be included in the upcoming edition of Mac OS X, and will deliver sports and weather updates and other information fast.

External Graphics Card

The Cupertino-based company will include support for external graphics card on its forthcoming MacBook Pro models that would let owners to enjoy better graphics.

Biometric Recognition Technology

It is expected that Apple will introduce the biometric recognition feature on upcoming models. The biometric recognition technology will increase access protection to the device and will make the purchase authorization easier.

Also, several reports suggest that the software company will be trimming down the thickness of 15-inch and  13-inch MacBook Pros for 2016.

Meanwhile, rumors are doing the rounds that the MacBook Air 2016 will also be released this year. Previous reports suggested that Apple will unveil MacBook Air 2016 at the March event. However, it did not happen.

There are speculations that the upcoming MacBook Air will have Intel's Skylake core processor and single USB-C port. Having Skylake chipset to power up the laptop is said to ensure improved laptop performance, enhance the power efficiency and decrease the need of thicker laptop.

Apple has not revealed any information about the upcoming laptops.
