The Flash is a CW Network series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns.

"The Flash" season 2 will reportedly see Kate Cassidy playing the role of Laurel Lance.

Cassidy actually stars on The CW's "Arrow," but her character Laurel has already been confirmed to be killed off in the finale episode.

From there, Cassidy will crossover to "The Flash" where Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will meet her as the Black Canary from Earth-2.

According to Sivertimes, it is still unclear whether or not Cassidy will be a permanent cast member on "The Flash" because Barry and his team are still expected to live in Earth-1.

However, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg previously confirmed that one character from "Arrow" will have a double on "The Flash," and this is indeed Laurel or Black Canary.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of "The Flash" season 2 will see Barry and his team finding out more information about Zoom from Earth-2.

According to Cartermatt, there are also some new twists coming up in the episode, and this will include the introduction of a new meta-human.

"We'd be curious to know who they are and how they found the place, though, given that the breach was closed and we haven't seen too many metas who existed on Earth-1just rising to the surface now."

Another twist in "Versus Zoom" will have to do with Zoom himself and his identity. It will revealed that his real name is actually Hunter Zolomon.

Lastly, there are also some rumors that Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) from Earth-2 may still be alive. If this were to be revealed as true, Killer Frost can crossover to Earth-1 and meet her counterpart Caitlin Snow.

"What if Killer Frost is still alive and made it to over? It'd be crazy, but this show can be crazy sometimes," the publication noted.

"The Flash" season 2 is currently on a short hiatus. The new episode is expected to air on The CW sometime this month.
