‘Dragon Ball Super’ to get a ‘future-related character’, Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro confirm

Creator of "Dragon Ball" Akira Toriyama and illustrator of "Dragon Ball Super" manga Toyotaro have confirmed that a popular future-related character is a part of the "Dragon Ball Super" anime storyline. The duo also talked more about the anime and manga.

V Jump Magazine's web version published a Toriyama and Toyotaro bonus interview which is not a part of Super Vol. 1, noted Todd Blankenship.

During the interview, they are asked about where the plot is heading in the future. "I've read the plot for the new story, and I'm really happy a certain future-related character is going to be involved, I'm a huge fan," Toyotaro said. Toriyama has added that it is a popular character and he is hoping that the kids will be happy.

Toriyama's plot has been used in "Dragon Ball Super," but the interviewer has stated that it would be interesting if Toyotaro get more involved in the story-writing process.

Toriyama has mentioned that it is a good idea as it will make it "more interesting to include Toyotaro-sensei's ideas." However, Toyotaro said that it is too much pressure. He has added that it would be great to help "Dragon Ball Super" "reach its final chapter."

Apart from the future, Toyotaro has asked Toriyama about Super Saiyan Blue having blue hair.

"In Battle of Gods it was red, so I figured for Revival of "F" I should go with blue. That's all. Well actually I was thinking about having it be white, but then it would color-clash with the "next enemy"... so I figured I should save it for another occasion," Toriyama responded.

Toyotaro has also asked him about Lord Beerus and Whis turning up on "Dragon Ball Super" and what his thoughts are about them.

"Currently, I have no plans for Goku and Vegeta surpassing Beerus and Whis," Toriyama said.
