Choi Seung-Hyun aka T.O.P has been confirmed to join the cast of a new Chinese action-packed film titled "Out of Control."
After a two-year hiatus in the film industry, Big Bang's T.O.P is now set to return to the big screen. The 28-year-old South Korean rapper will team up with Hong Kong actress, Cecilia Cheung, to play the main role in the upcoming "Out of Control" film, Soompi reported.
With "Final Contract's" film director Axel Sand at the helm, the singer will play as a Korean Interpol officer that will spare Cheung's character, who was caught in a trap of mishaps while attending a film festival in Germany.
Fans should be delighted to know that the boy band megastar is said to be performing some advanced action stunts on his own in the film. While another cast member is yet to be revealed at the time of writing, rumor has it that the legendary actor, Al Pacino, will reportedly join the film.
T.O.P's agency, YG Entertainment, revealed that the rapper has been in Germany since March 31 for the filming of the action film.
"Choi Seung Hyun [T.O.P] has received many love calls from Chinese and Japanese dramas and films," a representative from the agency said, revealing that T.O.P has decided to take the project since the scenario and storyline of the film caught his attention the most.
The upcoming action-packed movie apparently marks T.O.P debut in the Chinese-language film industry. However, due to the filming schedule, T.O.P will be absent from the band's upcoming fan meeting event in Japan titled "BIGBANG FANCLUB EVENT ~ FANTASTIC BABYS 2016" that will begin on April 22.
This means that only four Big Bang members - G-Dragon, Seungri, Daesung, and Taeyang - will appear at the fan meeting as T.O.P's personal schedule was difficult to re-arrange for him to accommodate the said event, The Big Bang Music has learned.
