Premier League 2015-2016: Aston Villa vs Bournemouth, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

| Apr 06, 2016 10:45 AM EDT

Bournemouth midfielder Eunan O'Kane competes for the ball against Manchester City's Pablo Zabaleta.

Bottom-dwelling squad Aston Villa FC (3-22-7, 16 points) and last season's Football League Championship winner AFC Bournemouth (10-14-8, 38 points) both suffered from lopsided losses in their previous matchday games.

The two teams will be looking to bounce back from their respective defeats as they square off at the Villa Park this Saturday, April 9th as the 2015-2016 Premier League season slowly draws to a close.

Aston Villa will most likely be demoted to the Championship next season as they are nine points below second-to-the-last squad Newcastle United with only six games left in their current campaign.

It was just a lost season for the Villans, who are now on a six-game losing streak which is one of their many setbacks all season, as they hope to get back their groove in England's second division next season to try and return to the Premier League soonest.

Caretaker manager Eric Black's boys were annihilated by dethroned defending champions Chelsea, 4-0, at the Villa Park during their most recent game last Saturday, as per SkySports.

Former Barcelona forward Pedro scored a brace at the 46th and 59th minutes to lead the Blues' scoring haul while midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and striker Alexandre Pato contributed one goal each at the 26th and 45th+3 minutes respectively.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth also went through a 0-4 demolition last Saturday, but this time the culprit is Manchester City at their own home field of Vitality Stadium, as reported by Goal.

Four different City players scored a goal each with Brazilian midfielder Fernando drawing first blood at the seventh minute before Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Agüero immediately followed up at the 12th and 19th.

The four-goal haul was completed by Serbian defender Aleksandar Kolarov in injury time as the Cherries dropped their second straight game.

Eddie Howe's men are at the 13th spot of the league table right now, 11 points adrift of the bottom three relegation zone.

The predicted result is a 1-0 victory for Bournemouth to snap their two-game losing skid.

Aston Villa starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Guzan; Hutton, Richards, Lescott, Cissokho; Gueye, Sanchez, Westwood; Gil, Gestede, Ayew

Bournemouth starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Boruc; Smith, Francis, Cook, Daniels; Ritchie, O'Kane, Surman, Gradel; Grabban, King
