Bandai Namco's fighting video game"Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" will introduce new assist characters once its patch update rolls out.
The Saikyo Jump May 2016 issue in Japan, which has been released in April 1, has revealed that Frost and Botamo, both from "Dragon Ball Super Universe 6" will be joining the Nintendo 3DS game as Z-Assist characters, Kanzenshuu reported.
The issue shows an advertisement with Frost hurling a Death Beam attack, with the statement: "The Evil Emperor of Universe 6 Descends!!!"
These two new Z-Assist characters are from Universe 6, a different universe from where Goku and the other characters live in. Frost and Botamo are part of a team created by Champa. This team and Goku's are in the middle of a tournament that would be the deciding factor if the planet Earth would be moved to Universe 6 or remain where it is.
In an episode of "Dragon Ball Super's" Universe 6, it can be remembered that Frost deceived Goku and he defeated him in a multiverse tournament called the Universe 6 vs. Universe 7. However, Vegeta defeated Frost later. On the other hand, Botamo also fought Goku in the said tournament, but he got defeated by the Saiyan.
It has also been reported that during the latest patch, the "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" game got an additional of four Z-Assist characters. There are speculations that these characters would be initially released in Japan to be followed in other countries.
Nevertheless, it can be noted that a lot of the update patches for this video game have remained exclusive to Japan. According to Attack of the Fanboy, it is possible that these characters will not be available in other countries, unless these update patches are released to the Western world someday.
"Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden" was launched in Japan on June 11, 2015. In Europe, the game was released on Oct. 16, 2015 while in Latin and North America on Oct. 20, 2015, and in Brazil on Oct. 23. There is a free demo available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop too.
