HTC recently confirmed the upcoming unveiling of their newest flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, scheduled on April 12.
The phone would be showcased during a worldwide event which HTC enthusiasts can tune in on via the company's official website. Unsurprisingly, fans of the Taiwanese manufacturing company are very much excited for the launch; however, it seems like HTC has more to unveil during the April 12 event.
According to Ubergizmo, HTC would be releasing another Desire phone during the HTC 10 launch. Ubergizmo cites the tweet sent out by LlabTooFeR, a ROM developer, in April 4. LlabTooFer claims that on April 12, HTC would be unveiling a new low to mid-range smart phone which would come in single and dual sim variants.
"Along with Perfume, HTC will release another Desire phone, codename is A56. This device will have both Single and DualSIM versions," read LlabTooFeR's tweet.
Details about the speculated HTC Desire phone have been scarce; however according to the same publication, the HTC 10 would come with a hefty price tag. As such, it is likely that the mid-range Desire smart hone would be rolled out in order to reel in the more wallet-conscious crowd.
HTC has yet to filly release the specifications of their soon to be launched flagship smartphone. However, according to Geeky Gadgets, HTC 10 would be running on a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM with an impressive 32GB of storage. The handset would come with a 5.1-inch display with a Quad resolution of 2560 X 1440 pixels. It will also tote a formidable front and rear camera, both at an impressive 12 megapixels. It will be equipped with regular HTC specs including Wifi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Since HTC flagship phone would be unveiled on April 12, interested parties can watch the launch on HTC's official website. The live unveiling would be broadcasted at 8 a.m. New York Time, 1 p.m. London Time and 8 p.m. Taipei Time.
