"The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 6 finale ended with Negan's intense introduction and a death of a fan-favourite character's death. The show closed with a bulldozer of a cliffhanger: Who was killed by Negan?
"The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7 episode is expected to reveal who got the Lucille and was beaten up to death. Spoilers suggest that the forthcoming segment will pick up from where Season 6 episode 16 (finale) "Last Day on Earth" left off and explores the aftermath of the shocking ending.
"I truly hope that people see 701 and they feel it justifies the way that we've decided to tell the story," showrunner Scott M. Gimple told Yahoo. "I know what 701 is, and I feel that it delivers on what 616 sets up."
And as soon as the "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7 opens with episode 1, fans will find who died at the hands of Negan, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd confirmed in her interview with Deadline. The death of the beloved Alexandrian is expected to change the lives of the survivors forever.
Speaking to the reporters, "The Walking Dead" comic book creator Robert Kirkman told that it is not about the cliffhanger but how the events change the mindset and how it tears Rick Grimes down.
"The story of who died, the story of what comes next, of who Negan killed, of what comes after that, that's really the story of Season 7," Kirkman said as quoted by Independent.co.uk. In addition, Gimple promised that the story of Season 7 will justify it all.
At the same time, fans must prepare themselves to watch the "stories from Negan's perspective" in "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7, hinted Gimple. Furthermore, Heath's return is guaranteed.
The seventh season of "The Walking Dead" universe might open up and see the emergence of new communities. As teased by Gimple in an interview with Variety, "We're going to have a wide variety of locales, tone and character. I'm very excited for all the different stories that are going to be told." In the meantime, things begin to get extremely dark.
