The official Reddit App performing great on Play Store and App Store with explosive growth during first 24 hours.

The official Reddit app is now out on the Play Store and App Store with perks of 3-month gold on every install during the launching week. The first 24-hours made a critical leap with mixed users' reviews while compared to unofficial editions the platform's own version has more features.

The official Reddit app's popularity can be calculated from its ratings and reviews on the both app markets. Currently, the app is boasting 100,000-500,000 installs on Play Store with an average rating of 3.2/5 from 4,135 reviewers. On the other hand, App Store saw a cumulative rating of 3/5 given by 1100 app installers.

Previously, Reddit CEO, Steve Huffman had clued about some developments billed for 2016. There had been many Reddit apps on both online portals, but the official app by Reddit inc. is the best edition ever. With the latest update released on April 7 on, 6.4MB app has been categorized as news on Play Store and App Store. 

The active community members have already shared their opinion about the app in the reviews section of app pages and on the Reddit website. The app allows all the Reddit functions that users usually perform on the desktop platform including browsing, searching, reading comments, and subscribing to threads and subreddits. Additionally, the official Reddit app users will also be able to post images and links as well.

The official Reddit app also brings limited customization options like themes and views. The night theme, which is more gray than black, comes with Card or Compact view. There is a new inbox feature that notifies users about new messages, tags and responses to posts and comments.

The company first stepped into smartphone arena with a beta mobile website, which lead to Reddit Android app and after a leaked version appeared online few months ago, the official live version was finally made live, TechTimes reported. The company is also offering a 3-month Reddit gold to all the downloaders during its launching week.

While ratings on Play Store and App Store are seeing mixed users' reviews, according to Sensor Tower, the official Reddit app is performing great, winning the top spot on US App Store with fastest growth rate during the first 24 hours.
