Hong Kong singer Coco Lee emerged as the winner of the fourth season of reality show "I Am a Singer," the finale of which aired on April 8, Friday.

Lee took the stage with popular American singer Ne-Yo during the first part of the competition. They performed their rendition of Michael Jackson's "Earth Song."

For the finale, the 41-year-old pop star wowed the crowd in a stunning red chi-pao, which was the same dress she wore at the Oscars in 2001, the Straits Times reported.

Lee sang "A Love Before Time," the theme song of the award-winning film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon."

Upon accepting her trophy, Lee revealed that she was "very honored and happy to share the stage with so many kings and queens of music," according to Hello Asia. She also thanked her family and fans, as well Hunan TV, which has been broadcasting the reality show since 2013.

Other performers for the night include Hong Kong-based Hacken Lee, Singapore's JJ Lin and Taiwan's Lala Hsu.

Meanwhile, Korean star Hwang Chi Yeul sang "You Are My Everything," the theme song of the popular Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun."

Jeff Chang from Taiwan brought Akon as they dominated the stage with a disco-inspired performance of "Love Is Like the Tide."

Lee's triumph is the first time a singer from Hong Kong won the contest. The past winners included artists from mainland China such as Yu Quan and Han Hong from the first and third seasons, respectively.

The pop star made her debut through various compilation albums. She lent her voice as Mulan in the Walt Disney film and shared the stage with Shaggy at the MTV Awards, among other early international collaborations.

In 2015, Lee unveiled her sophomore English album titled "Exposed" under Sony BMG. She is the only Chinese artist who has performed at the Academy Awards.
